This ranch home in a coveted Charlottesville neighborhood was renovated with respect to its traditional roots, but with the clients’ preferred mid-century style in mind. The original kitchen and dining room were combined to create a large eat-in kitchen that works for this young family. The bedroom wing’s floor plan was reconfigured to create a larger primary suite for increased privacy and a spacious shared hall bathroom to accommodate our clients’ children now and as the family grows. All of the main floor living spaces were reimagined to add the functionality and aesthetic the family desired. Home office space was also carved out to accommodate today’s modern “work from home” environment. Warm toned woods, traditional architecture and transitional millwork balance out the more modern lines of this renovation and work together to create a welcoming home for our clients.
