Shannon McCall, AKBD, Head of Creative Process
Shannon joined the GMC team in 2016 launching an interior design function to complement GMC’s design-build approach. She specializes in helping clients with a holistic, full service approach to their projects. While at GMC, she has succeeded at expanding the objectives and pushing the boundaries of a typical construction meeting to consider and explore the impact of design on each of their projects. She believes that understanding how clients want to live and feel in a space includes thinking through all of the textures and surfaces they will come into contact with on a daily basis – from exterior materials all the way down to the perfect reading chair by the fireplace.
Shannon has earned the AKBD designation (Associate Kitchen and Bath Designer as certified by the National Kitchen and Bath Association) and applies a highly organized design program to her kitchen and bath projects. With a prior career as a CPA with twelve years of corporate experience in finance and accounting, as well as an MBA, she is well equipped with the project management, organizational and budgeting skills that are crucial to providing a highly customized, yet efficient design experience for GMC clients.
With a nationwide network of vendors and suppliers in the interior design industry; experience remodeling and furnishing modern, historical, traditional and vacation homes; a lifelong respect of the impact that architecture and design have on our daily lives as fuel for her creative vision; along with a vetted systematic design process to ensure an efficient and positive client experience, Shannon helps the GMC team deliver spaces aligned with their clients’ visions through a mutually enjoyable relationship-building process. Shannon believes firmly that the best way for clients to protect their investments in their homes is through a thoughtful, detailed approach to any project which marries the landscape, architecture, construction, and interior design into one integrated dream project.
